Product Description The game begins with all four Ninja Turtles: Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael, who can be switched between at any time during gameplay. Each turtle is practically identical besides the attack range and speed of their weapon. The player must travel through the first 5 of the levels using an overview map to enter various sewers, warehouses, and other areas which leads to the goal of each level. Along the way the player fights various enemies that range from Foot Soldiers and Rat Kings to bomb dropping blimps and chainsaw wielding baddies. Each turtle serves as a life and there are only 2 continues. Later in the game, the player is given several opportunities to rescue some of the turtles.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles released by Konami in 1989 for NES.
this another great classic Beat-'Em-Up for Konami.

| Customer Reviews: A classic NES title nobody should be without! November 20, 2007 Mike Roach (New Jersey) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This game was HUGE back in 1989, and even after the sequels came out, the game was still awesome, even today, and it puts up a great challenge. Although it isn't the best TMNT game (that would be TMNT 3:The Manhattan Project), it still remains as one of the classic NES titles, even if there were times where it was frustrating.
Fun Game, But Very Hard June 5, 2010 Andrew D. Lingenfelter 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've loved this game ever since I was a kid. For being a game for the NES, the graphics are decent and the music is fantastic. It is, though, one of those games I've never finished. You see, it is very, very hard.
The beginning of the game is easy enough, but there is a level where you must swim around and defuse bombs underwater. This stage is pretty difficult unless you have memorized where all the bombs are. As difficult as this stage is, the difficulty grows rather exponentially afterwards.
If you're a fan of classic games, you may as well pick this one up. If you like a challenge, it's good for that as well.
