This is such a fun game for girls! You start out in the farm all alone. The whole 1st chapter you try to get one of the 3 bachelors to like you by giving them presents and talking to them. In the second chapter you get married to the guy who likes you the most. Here are your choices:
Rock: 22 in the beginning. A young dude who has no life virtues. He cares only for his looks and having fun. Rock is the easiest to marry, but trust me, don't!
Gustafa: 28. A smooth, happy musical guy. He's sort of a hippie. I would suggest him over Rock.
Marlin: 33. I married him and I suggest you would too! In the game he compliments my child and teaches him life-lessons. Marry him!
Whoever you marry you'll have a child. Depending on whom you marry is how he'll act and look. When they're babies they are SO cute! Then in the next chapter they're toddlers, then children, then a teenager! Love him buy giving him things he likes and talking to him often.
Back to you: You spend your 24 minute days by taking care of your *adorable* cows and chickens and goats or sheep. Taking care refers to:
1. Feeding them
2. Talking and petting them daily
3. If cows or goats; milking them
Your chickens and roosters are easier to care for. Just take their eggs and feed them! LOL
You also have an adorable dog you get in the beginning. You can if you want feed him but you don't have to.
Another thing you do during the day is taking care of plants! Plant them and water them. Typical. You can plant anything from potatoes to strawberries. You buy the seeds from another farm in town. Once the plants are grown you can give them away to people in the village, cook with them, sell them or just eat them plain. Yum.
Money: You make money but selling crops, fruits, milk, sheep fur, cheese, butter, rocks and gems found in the digsite, flowers found around the town and mushrooms also found around the town. Twice a month (Harvest moon months witch takes about 1 or 2 hours) a fat rich man named Van (what a wonderful name) comes to town and sells and buys with you. You can sell pretty much anything to him and buy furniture and clothes and whatnot from him.
What to spend your $ on: livestock and buildings them mostly. You can buy clothes and medicines from Van too. Money luckily isn't something you NEED witch I think is great. It's just nice to have.
Pros:
You don't NEED money
You live in a cute, peaceful town with a beach, houses, streams and ponds called Forget-Me-Not Valley
Really nice townspeople who each have different personalities
Pretty good graphics. Beautiful scenery.
The game doesn't take too long and doesn't end too quickly (I've been playing for more than 1 year)
I love the animals! Who would've known how fun it is to farm!
Great storyboard that doesn't get old.
You have a family! It's so much fun to be a mom and wife. ^^
Cons:
Here and there there are small typos (witch really doesn't matter at all)
ummm...... I think that's it!
Ending/Overall/Recap: You start on your own on your fathers farm, you get married have a kid, be a great mom, have fun farming, be friends with other people, fish, cook, and ride your hoarse! Yay that is so much fun =) Throughout the game there are happy suprises. This game is for anyone who is interested in life simulations. Because this is way better than sims+ animal crossing any other life simulation!
RATING: 100% * * * * * five stars most definitely =) plus five more * * * * * buy this game! Yep yep yep good game ^^

Hey, I am 13 years old and a girl, and I saw this game at a used-books store, and thought it looked really fun, so I thought I would get it here, since I had a gift card here.
Well, let me tell you, I am NOT disappointed! There is never NOT anything to do here! You can milk your cows, water and harvest crops, collect eggs from your chickens, fish, dig for treasure, pick mushrooms and flowers to sell, or just about ANYTHING! ~you can also cook like a million different dishes, which is awesome.
You start with just a normal cow and a dog, but over time your farm grows as you expand in livestock and mula$$! You must plan out how our farm will be, and your decisions affect everything! What you say and do matters, as well as who you choose for your husband and raising your little boy.
I totally reccomend this game for everyone, it is easy to learn how to play, appropriate for all ages, and really cute! Anyone can have fun playing this game, it is great! ^^

I just got this game about a month ago, and I love it! It's better than A Wonderful Life, because there are some new options, like you can change your clothes, train your dog, create hybrid crops, and best of all, you're a girl! Also, I'm alot more succesful in this game more than A Wonderful Life, because of a money cheat, and if you're desperate for money, here it is:
Plug a 2nd controller into the 3rd slot while playing.
Keep pressing the start button on the 2nd controller, for about 5 seconds. Stop, and see how much money you have! It's alot of help! And, you get extentions for your house every year (I think). In the game, my name is Aly, I'm in chapter 3, married to Rock, and have a son named Joey, who seems about 8. A neat thing is, you can read your son's diary. Your neighbors can give you gifts, too. Like Grant (who moves in in the 2nd chapter), will give you an alarm clock. You can also do milk drinking contests. To get ducks, you need to get a pond. To make butter and milk, you need a food processing room. And, about those hybrid crops, you need a Seed Maker, but I have no clue how to make them. Here are the main ideas of this wonderful game! (look at the bottom for the money secret)
You are a girl and only a girl! You can marry 3 different guys. they are Marlin, Gustafa, and Rock( if you want a bigger selection, try HM Magical Melody, you can chose from ten cute guys!) Oh and a tip. If you don't want to marry rock, do not talk to him at all!
You have a son in the second chapter of you life. ( you can only have one child and it's always a boy. The boy looks different an likes different things depending on your husband)

Psssst! Here is a little cheat to get more money! Plug in a second controller in slot three. Press the START button continuesly on the second controller while playin on the first. Stop pressing START on controller 2. Now, press START on controller 1. ( just to look at the menu) See how much more mula you have? you should be thanking me!

I really love this game! If anybody told you its boring they're just to old for it.As a matter of fact on some days theres TOO much to do! Your life starts in a farm. You can easily make money to buy livestock. (The cows are so cute!)You also make food for yourself or eat plants and pick your future husband.Once you marry him you have a baby.(You don't see the birth don't worry)Then your true farm life begins.You make money but selling eggs and milk,make friends,and figure out the game and all it's features. This game isn't like most life simulations games.There are nice people you can make friends with and a nice neiborhood to live in.There's even a beach! The towns easy to get around especially when you get your hoarse. This game is easy to learn and even more fun to play! There are happy and unexpected suprises waiting for you throughout your life.This game is the best game I have EVER played.Please buy this game if you love cute livestock,friendly people,nice towns,cute baby boys, and altogether fun!Thank you for reading. -Christi Age 11- Now excuse me, I think my cows's giving birth.
